If you’re like me, no matter where you are, you like to act like you’ve been there before.
You wanna hang where the locals hang, you wanna try stuff that you can’t get anywhere else, and you don’t wanna get caught paying the tourist price.
Well, sometimes things are touristy because they’re just damn good. If you’re in the French Quarter, which let’s face it, you probably will be if it’s your first time in New Orleans, you can’t do better for touristy Cajun/Creole cuisine than Coop’s Place. They have it all, it’s right across the street from Café du Monde, and it’s damn good. Try the sampler to get it all in one meal!
