Fess Parker Winery
My family and I decided to visit the Fess Parker Winery after enjoying a bottle of their Riesling during dinner at an Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara.
My mom is not a fan of red wine so any time we know a place has good whites – we’re all over it!
The Fess Parker winery is about 30 minutes into the mountains from Santa Barbara, so it makes for a perfect afternoon trip. The grounds are over 700 acres of beautiful vines and grassy knolls. And yes, Fess Parker is THE Fess Parker. Like Davy Crocket Fess Parker (and his family too).
We decided to pack a picnic and enjoy another bottle of their delicious Riesling and take in the beautiful scenery. They have an outdoor patio area or picnic tables under the trees in the grassy area. We opted for the picnic tables away from the other visitors as it can get a little busy. All in all, it was a great afternoon! I actually took my friends there too because I knew they all would like it as much as I did!
